Our team had a night off last night, as Finals Night was being held. On the previous Tuesday I amazed myself by just missing out on being part of the Doubles Dominoes Finals Night ; Roger and I won the first two games, which chance had caused us to be paired against opponents from our own pub ; Lena and Jean, and Alan and Willie. In the third game we were narrowly beaten, and jcoulson who comments on this blog also left the competition in this round.Next Tuesday night is Presentation Night, and then we have a few months break before the start of the next campaign. I've heard a few comments about teams and individuals who will not be part of the Derwentside & District League next season, so it'll be interesting to see who starts.
