Since The Moorcock closed their team has migrated to The Smelters, and they now play their home games from there. We got off to a very disappointing start to the game by losing an opening team game in which we had led strongly, but became totally stuck on a routine finish and ended up with countless darts at D8 / D4. The Moorcock caught up as we struggled to finish, and deserved to take the point by finishing without any fuss.
We put the opening point behind us and settled in quite well. We seemed the steadier and more consistent and at the end of the three Doubles game the score was tied at 2-2.
The six Singles game were our strong point on the night, losing only one of them (mine!) to take a 3-7 win back to The Chelmsford for the return game on 5th March 2013.
All six of our players were able to score at least one winning double so it was a good all round game from our team. Michael takes Man Of The Match for getting two our points and showing some good consistency.

Chelmsford 6 - 4 Stanley Masons
Firstly, huge congratulations to Lena and Glen in reaching Finals Night in the Doubles Dominoes competition. It'll be a good night and they'll be well supported by the rest of the team.
Back to the darts, and Stanley Masons we excellent on Tuesday night. We had to take every chance that came our way to get the win. They started the night with a high scoring, consistent Team game which left us very far behind as they sunk the double to take a 0-1 lead.
Three close Doubles games saw us pull the game back to 2-2. The six Singles games were close too, but we edged it to take four of the six points for a hard earned 6-4 victory.
There was no hint of the D1 Marathon we all endured last week as both teams really improved upon our game a fortnight ago. No Man Of The Match this week as I thought we all played a rounded game.
